Amanda Halawell is a Resource Management Planner at Alberta Environment and Parks in Edmonton. Amanda supports the department in advancing cumulative effects management strategies for sub-regional plans under the Land Use Framework. She also leads communications and engagement efforts for provincial policy development of Alberta’s Crown Land Vision and sustainable outdoor recreation. Her current role, as well as previous work with environmental organizations and in consulting, has given Amanda a lasting appreciation of the diversity of landscapes in western Canada, and the people that value and rely on them.
