Amy Lisk Thomas, Fish and Wildlife Biologist, U.S., Fish and Wildlife Service

Amy is the Fish and Wildlife Biologist for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service properties and interests across northwestern Montana. She began her career and conservation journey in the Mission Valley in 1999 after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management from the University of Montana. Amy is currently stationed in Charlo, MT focusing primarily on cultivating partnerships with other land management agencies, Tribes, and private landowners/NGOs to forward landscape conservation goals.  

Amy is currently focused on habitat and connectivity restoration by identifying projects and partners, protecting and improving core habitat on the ground, and developing conservation planning tools in the face of climate change. After years of participating with the CMP on the periphery, Amy officially joined the steering committee in 2023 and looks forward to working with other members on the Landscape Conservation Design and Ecocultural Restoration.
